I am honoured to be part of the Nemayiana team. Conceptualized in 2014 and established in 2017, Nemayiana is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting science and technology education in Africa. Nemayiana means Knowledge in the maa language. We believe that science is a powerful tool for development and empowerment which is why we are setting up a science museum in Nairobi, Kenya. Our vision is Capturing Community, Innovation, and Tradition. We focus on the following essential themes: community, innovation, information, participation, nature, and sustainability—all unfolding within a rapidly evolving physical and cultural landscape. As rural traditions meet urban growth, and ancestral knowledge merges with modern technologies, Nemayiana envisions a future that honors both heritage and progress

The GLF Youth Project Teams are groups of young passionate and motivated experts from all over the world who collaboratively plan, design and develop projects and activities for the Youth Program while also engaging with various GLF events. This year, the Project Teams are adopting a regional approach with three teams based in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and Asia and the Pacific.

Leadership Award: 2011 UNEP Bayer Young Environmental Leader Award
I implemented a green energy project in Kenya that aimed to lower carbon emissions by using clean fuel briquettes made of foliage and waste paper rather than traditional cooking fuels such as charcoal. The project provided three briquette making machines to three secondary schools to create an alternative energy source and income for the school community.
